How to be a Good Host in a Party

Hosting a party is very much different from being a party guest. Of course, who amongst us does not love the word party? It is a passé if you ask someone if she would be willing to attend one. Mingling with people is just one of the main reasons why parties are organized.

Money wise, the host may require her guests to join in a “potluck” to save her from spending most of her budget over their food. Though she couldn’t escape the fact that her place is at stake when that event happen, at least she won’t fully hurt her pocket as they will be bringing foods to be shared to others.

Since it is the host’s place, she can offer finger foods instead of cooking a meal most especially in an after-dinner party. In preparation, the host might bring out her precious utensils, plates and pans to accommodate those foods brought by her guests. This is just the perfect timing to also bring out those plastic cups she had purposely stored way back.

That’s a good thing in buying plastic cups rather than fragile glasses. You wouldn’t hurt any muscle if by chance you will be taking out these cups from their hiding place. With its thin and light material, handing out these plastic glasses is just a breeze.

After the party, you probably exhausted all your energy and with that cleaning up all your mess could be one major thing you would hate about. What could be a lot more tiring is the dish washing. Big bowls and pans can be a lot easier to wash than different size of glasses. But since you chose to use plastic cups, cleaning them up is not a problem. Actually you don’t have to clean up because they are usually disposables. You just have to collect them, stacked and put it in a garbage bag. The garbage collector will then take charge of them whether they opt to recycle them or completely throw them out.
